Besides referring to the entertainment industry, and the people in it ... the term "Show Biz" defines how you present yourself to other people. You gotta keep people's eyes happy it you're going to get anywhere. Illusion or not, your standing is automatically doubled, tripled, and sometimes even quadrupled with the right clothes and makeup. Women have been working "Show Biz" forever, with short skirts, low-cut blouses, jewelry, and of course: makeup. Modern day men though, for the most part still haven't even come close to the olden day pirates who way back 400 years ago knew how to look cool, interesting, and sexy with their pony tails, ear rings, jewelry, makeup, and swashbuckling attire. The point being: Is that clothes and makeup works wonders! The right outfit can and will make a mediocre dancer look good, and a good dancer look great. And on the flip side: The wrong clothes can make a great dancer appear to be only fair, a good dancer; mediocre, and sometimes make a fairly good dancer look like a stumblebum.

Baffling them with bullshit” will get you places! Whether you’re out dancing, or anywhere out in public, your appearance is half of it! How many famous movie stars, singers, rock stars, or professional dancers do you see wearing shorts, sloppy tee shirts, sneakers, ball caps, plaid shirts, or a muumuu on stage? Why do you think that many of them dress/and makeup so glittery ... or so outrageously? Did you ever notice how sometimes you love a music video you saw on MTV, but after buying the song it was advertising, you find that without the performers doing their thing, the song kind of sucks? And remember the TV show: "Miami Vice" where everyone looked so cool ... so interesting? Not only do the right clothes and makeup make you feel good about yourself and help to distract people from critiquing your dancing, but it may just help out your sex life too! .....John Kelly
